Tiny Getaway to Bath

Last week on Tuesday morning we took off with a train to Bath. It was my first time in there, never been and what a lovely city it is. We didn't see that much the city since I booked a two day holiday in spa, so most of the time we spent relaxing.

But we did have time before the check in to the hotel and we found King William pub and I highly recommend it. I have never had such amazing lunch in a pub. It was worth of every penny we spent there, I could have eaten at least one more plate of each dish.

A little what we saw in Bath was the Bath Abbey, which was gorgeous I really loved it and of course we saw the river of bath and Bath crescent. That was pretty much all the sights we did see, fir the next time we left roman baths, which I definitely want to see, I've seen some photos of it and it does look gorgeous!  We did a visit for thermae bath spa, two hour spa session on top of the previous day spa hotel was pretty nice and we also got a voucher to come back for a new spa session anytime now till end of November.

Which cities do you find worth of visiting in Uk?

Moomins in London

Couple days ago we had a date night with my boyfriend we went to a city farm near Greenwich in the afternoon and later he had a surprise for me. He had bought tickets for us to go to see Moomin adventure exhibitin in Southbank center!

When we arrived to southbank center I was pretty sure it would been us with group of children, but it turned out to be all older age than children. They had created parts of the Moomin valley and moomin house and also theguide who held the tour was telling about Tove Jansson and the beginning of  stories. Even if I've been watching moomins for so many years I barely  knew anything about the Author, Tove Jansson.

In my opinion the moomin adventure tour was really good, it was executed really well and there were great set ups on every room we went, from moomin jungle to winter valley! Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take any photos inside of the exhibition rooms, but I did take from all the other set up and advertises outside of the southbank center

Aviela pure Shea Butter

Shea butter, it's origin is from Africa. It is a fat extracted from a nut ofa shea tree. It has several benefits for skin amd hair and therefore it is used for many DIY beauty, hair and skin treatments. Shea butter has lots of vitamin A which is why it is great treatment for some skin conditions.

I am using pure shea butter from Aviela daily on my lashes and as a moisturizer for my hands and face. I love the fact how soft it makes my hands since I have to use several chemicals at work daily, it  really does kill my hands. Also I'm using shea butter under my eyes and quick two minutes massage on top, it keeps your black under eyes under the control most of the times. I was so happy to find this little tip, it is great for students! One other way I use the cream is to apply it on my lashes. It keeps them strong and long, because sometimes I feel like my lashes are getting in a bad condition  because I'm wearing make up most of the days.

Shea butter can be a good treatment for
 - eczema
 - dry skin
 - dry feet
 - sun burns
 - scalp treatment
 - blemishes
 - shaving cream

These are very common usaged for a shea butter, but there are still many others left where you could use shea butter.

How do you use shea butter?

Todays Haul

After three days at home I decided to go out for a bit. Going through different craft stores to look for popstickles, but with no luck. But eventually I did find something really nice for myself, Apple SD card reader.
I'm so exited about it, since now I don't always need to bring my computer with me everywhere and I can have even raw- photos on my Ipad without any problem. What I have now been testing it, it works fine. It's doing what it's says. When I have had it in a proper use, I will make a rewiev about it.

Billy Extension Hamster Cage

After I purchased the small cage from Pets at Home, I made a research of hamsters and I came to the reality that the cages they are selling there are way too small for a Syrian hamster, even if there are even markings that it is suitable for a Syrian hamster.

After I made this discovery I wanted to make a bigger cage for Daisy since even a few days I started to see the symptoms being in too small cage.

So I planned a trip to Ikea and I bought a Billy extension for book shelf. Her cage is made out of 3 Billy extensions because when I bought the parts I didn't think she will come out of the cage so easy and how wrong I was. On the first night she climbed out of the cage !

The dimensions of the cage are 80x70x55. Unfortunately me or my boyfriend we don't have space for any bigger cage, but she seems to be happy in there and doing normal hamster stuff.

So what I decided is that I'm trying to build higher walls with the third Billy extension. I screwed extra holes on top of the cage walls and I attached the extra walls with the metal plugs that came with the package.
To be honest the cage is not the most beautiful one, but at least she has more space to run around and all her small cage symptoms are gone.

Daisy has in her cage sand bath, several hideouts, tubes and 20cm diameter Trixie wheel (Bigger on is on order) and also some chew toys to keep her teeth tidy and short

My Little Furry Baby

Final burst before it's the cut of date for my German assignment! But before that there is always a time for a short brake.

I've mentioned in my quick update post that about an month ago we got a small furry baby to our family, a Syrian hamster and we named her Daisy (Hunt)

On 31st of December we were on our way to a supermarket and on the way there we decided to go to see cute little animals to Pets at home which is really nearby.
And when we came out from the store, we had purchased cage and a hamster, the food we left into the supermarket, we even didn't go in, since we had our hands full already.

She is about 4 months old at the moment and I read somewhere that Syrian hamsters are laid back and not that quick in their moves, who knows if they are just saying that or can be also that we just chose extremely vivacious little lady, however is the case, she is very much loved.

After she moved in, we have changed her cage about 4 times bogged cage. At the pet shop they are giving wrong kind of information about cages and pretty much everything. It would be better to do some research about hamster housing, which unfortunately I didn't do. But I learned pretty fast since I kept reading and watching hamster care youtube channels for hours for the first few weeks.

Have you had a hamster before and can you provide some good hamster care tips for me? All the tips are more than welcome since I am a beginner with hamsters
