Spicy Hot Apple Drink

On a cold windy Autumn day it is lovely to have something to sip which warms you up. After the work today I came home and I prepared a lovely cup (my new Moomin cup!) of home made spicy Apple drink.
It is so easy to do and won't waste too much of your time and everything you need is;

3 Apples
Hot water
Grounded cinnamon
and a juicer

You just need to juice three apples and pour the juice into a mug, half cup and add some hot water. This is my lazy way, you can also heat up the apple juice and water on stove. This method is better if you want the drink to be little bit more hot than what you can achieve with boiling the water in kettle, since the juice is cold it's going to cool down also the drink. At last add one tea spoon of cinnamon, mix and drink it!

Weekend in Pohjanmaa

One week goes by too fast, especially when you are having a good time. Last Monday we had a flight to Helsinki- Vantaa airport and tomorrow we're heading back there.
But the week has been filled up with lots of fun and relax. Last Thursday we took a train to Seinäjoki and we've spent here the entire weekend.
It's actually the first time when we see the city of Seinäjoki, last time we came here only for the baptism of Aada, but now we saw lots of other things.

We went to see dogs also we saw a lots of cows and beautiful landscapes. We also climbed 20 meters high sightseeing tower in the middle of nowhere, but you were able to see everything, mostly forest, but it was pretty neat anyway!
And at last we climbed to apple trees to get some apple and now we have lots of apples for the trip back to Helsinki!

The best part was that we were able to play with Aada, change diapers, feed her, bath her and put her to sleep.

It's here, Autumn

Syksy tuli! Sataa ja tulee ihan kauhiasti koko aika, varmaan pitäis kohta mennä ostamaan jonku näköstä takkia, muuten käy niinko parina edellisenä vuonaa, en oo ehtiny ostamaan takkia syksylle ennen ko oon jo alkanu käyttämää talvitakkia.

Mut kaulahuivit ja tumput tuli jo kaivettua esii. Aamusin ko lähtee kuuden aikaa töihin on ihan jäätävän kylmä, pakko pukee enempi vaatetta vaikka sitte iltapäiväl onki  paljon lämpimämpi.

Autumn is here! It's raining and windy all the time, I should go look for a coat, otherwise it's gonna happen like couple last times. I haven't had time to buy a coat for Autumn before I have started to wear winter coat already. 

But I did took scarfs and mittens out of the winter storage. In a morning I really need more clothes even it's getting warmer till afternoon

Syksyyn Valmistautumista

Kon oon kauhia vilukissa, kulkenu jo hyvän aikaa huppariin ja kaulahuiviin kääriytyneenä. Ei nyt niin kauhian kylmä oo ollu, mut ei kyllä oo liiankaan kuuma ollu noissa asusteissa.

Mut vähä yli viikko sitte sain tulevan syksyn ja talven ensimmäiset villasukat, kon mama toi mummin ite tehyt sukat ja pitäispä vielä ainaki yks sukkapari tulla.

Sukat on ihanan pehmeet ja pörröset! Ihanat, tykkään ja nyt ei pitäis ihan heti alkaa palelemaan!

I'm always freezing, no matter if it's winter or summer. Even now I have been going around with a hoodie and scarf. It's really not too cold, but I haven't been feeling too hot with my clothing. 

About a week ago I got a parcel from Espoo, mom brought me woolly socks which were made by my grandma. First warm socks for becoming Autumn and Winter and there's still one pair of socks coming at some point.  

I love these socks, they're so soft & fuzzy!

Isänpäivä 11/11/2012

Eilen oli isänpäivä, joka meni sateisessa merkeissä, oikeestaan ei ees tuntunu isänpäivältä. Ei myö mittää erikoisempaa koskaan olla tehtykkä, mut leivottu kakku ja kahvit tehty, nyt nyt oli ensimmäinen kerta kon en ees oo Suomessa isänpäivänä.

Soitin tietenki iskälle ja puhuin sen kanssa aika kauanki puhelimessa ja se oli eilisen päivän kohokohta. Nyt on pakko myöntää, et ekan kerran tän puolenvuoden aikana tuli ihan oikeesti ikävä iskää! Mut onneks on puhelimet, facebook ja Skype keksitty! suht helppo pitää yhteyttä Suomeen.

Ja edellispäivänä tuli ihan syksy fiilis! Pääsin potkimaa maahanpudonneita vaahteranlehtiä! Ja mitä, nyt on jo marraskuu ja vast nyt pääsin tekemään tätä.

Kilometrejä kasaan

Nyt se on taas alotettu, juokseminen! Eilen herättii aikaseen, tai no miltei aikaseen ja läksittiin juoksemaan joelle ja tunti oltiin liikkeessä. Tosin sinä aikana monta kertaa oli sellain olo että KUOLEN! Kauhia yskä ja juokseminen ei ehkä oon ihan paras yhistelmä, mut ko päästiin kotia ja kon pääsi suihkuu olo oli mitä mahtavin, sain viimein itteni liikkeelle.

Nyt sää on ihanasti alkanu kylmenemää, päivällä vieläki voi mennä topilla ja hameella tai mekolla, mitä ikinä haluuka pitää päällään, lämmintä on, mut illat on kauhian kylmiä, silloin oon pakattuna kaikkiin mahollisiin vaatteisiin ja onneks ens viikolla on tulossa lisää vaatteita suomesta, ei ny hirviästi, mut saan miun Jumpsuitin,  talvi korkkarit ja jätti-iso huppari!

Jump suit on uus, äitipuoli tilas sen muutama päivä sitte, ei tarvii ainaka jäätyä talvella toivottavasti. Talojen lämmitys ei aina oo nii parasta Italiassa talvella ja varsinki ko kylppärin ikkuna pitää pitää auki aina suihkun jälkee, et se pääsee kuivumaa, ilman homehtumista. Katotaa miten selviin tästä talvesta (;

Autumn Colors

My friend stayed over night here last night. We wanted to find something to do and we decided to bake a carrot cake! We had all the other ingredients expect sugar, so we had to go to buy it. We went to one shopping mall called Sello. We also did some other shopping too, clothes, and other outfits :) 


Below this text there's a picture of the carrot cake. I think it looks pretty delicious, but this time, the taste wasn't so good. Almonds on the decoration tasted a bit like plastic. Let's see who wants to eat it : D

CARROT CAKE

4 eggs
250 g of sugar
2 dl of oil
300 g of flour
3/4 ts of salt
3 ts of baking powder
2 ts of cinnamon
400 g of grated carrots
55 g of almond crumbs

Frosting

180 g of soft butter
250 g powdered sugar

200 g of Philadelphia

Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy and add oil. Mix all the dry ingredients, flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Pour to egg mixture and mix well. Add grated carrots to dough and mix smooth with mixer. Grease and flour the casserole. Pour the dough to the casserole and fry about 45mins in 180 Degrees (or as long as necessary).  The cake should rise high in a oven. Let the cake cool down before you move it to a plate.

While the cake is in the oven you can prepare the frosting. Whisk butter and powdered sugar, add Philadelphia and mix it smooth.

After the cake has cool down, pervade the frosting with a spatula on the cake and sides of it.  Decorate with almond crumbs

Also I was working on my nails today. I wanted to use some Autumn colors, so I ended up to orange with glitter. The nail polish today was O.P.I Goldilocks Rock. First I applied nail hardener and then one level of base coat and after that I applied Goldilocks Rocks nail polish. I finish the nails with top coat.

The Unlucky Day

When i woke up today, I thought it's gonna be a good day, but it was the opposite.
Today was pretty important day, cause my teachers at my trainee place judged me how have I learned everything and how I work.
  So I went to school and i had to print one document for that, I did it, but at some point my teacher came to ask what is that paper which I have printed. It wasn't correct document, then I found out that I have never done the right document. And after I had solved this problem everything was fine, at least for now.
  After some hours we were opened the lunch I got my first customers... well i got 3 table at the same time, and It was really busy, and some of the customers had to little wait and because of that my teacher yelled at me all the time and was complaining (well he's doing that always, but now he did it more than normally) In the end I was able to serve everyone and they we're happy (Until they find out what I've done)
  Sooo... I kinda mixed up the tables and the bills, but I'm happy we were able to fix that, even the customers were left already, when I found this out. Rest of the day went well till 4 p.m. I was suppose to go home at 3 p.m . But I had to stay there for little longer, 1,5 hours longer... The teacher said he'll come soon to talk to me and while he's gone I have to check everything's ok at the restaurant. There wasn't anything to do and I decided to check my schedule for tomorrow... THEN i saw that I have come to work an hour earlier than I was supposed today. So I spent 2,5 extra hours there... This wasn't even the end of this crappy day.
I was at home around 5.30 p.m. And I tried to set the security alarm off, but it refuse to work, something happy happened, I got it work and I was able to set the security alarm off, but I nearly got security guys to my house. So glad that didn't happen, it would cost 60€ because it would been for nothing.
  I had to leave for a Italian class in 30 mins and I tried to rush, but my lucky day.... I was late a bit, and rushed to the bus stop, and on the half way I realized I'm on my way to wrong bus stop, so I had to turn around and try to get to the right bus stop at time, I almost did it! But then I heard bus came and it passed me.... Ciao Ciao bus! It was even raining all the time I waited the bus, but after a little while I was sat in the bus, it stopped... How I love Autumn. I waited next 30 mins new bus and fortunately I wasn't so late from my lesson :)


P.s. I think i shouldn't have miss my morning coffee this morning, but maybe tomorrow's better day and It's FIRDAY! Party party party ;)

Autumn

Now the Autumn has really reached over Finland. Everything here has turned to yellow, red and brown.

About a week ago I went to Helsinki for shopping, and i actually found some clothes for Autumn (:
I bought a vest, scarf and also I got selfmade mittens!

 I also was looking for a new lip blam, and i found one from Dove. It's really nice, it makes your lips soft and it gives a nice color for your lips :)

Because of the Autumn, my Italian lessons has started, and today I have my third lesson, and i should go there. I could not wait to get there :) Even everything what we do there is way too easy, but I'm studying the book myself at home, and I'm just asking a bit help from the teacher, if I get some problems.

I went outside today, cause it was nearly first day without rain for a week. And I was in our garden, and i found some last flowers, nearly every other flowers has died already. I really wish next summer will come fast :) I miss sun and heat!
