Il Siciliano

Tänään siis tuli vietettyy päivän maman kaa Helsingissä. Shoppailtiin pikkusen ja sitte käytiin syömässä Italialaisessa ravintolassa. Että ruoka voi olla niin hyvää ravintoloissa!

Alkupalaks otettiin Focaccia, valkosipulilla ja pestolla... toivottavasti huomenna ei haise valkosipuli kovin voimakkaasti, mut hyvää oli. Ja pääruaks päätin ottaa gnocchia! Sitä muuten tulee varmaa eniten ikävä kaikesta Italialaisesta ruoasta ja sitte tieteski tiramisua ja panna cottaa. Kunpa pääsis jo takasin Italiaan!

Ravintola sijaitsi Aleksanterin kadun varrella ja siitä ei ollu pitkä matka tuomiokirkolle, mie päätin että rupeen turistiks. Halusin ottaa kuvan siitä kirkosta. Ihan ensimmäinen kuva minkä oon koskaan ottanut just siitä kirkosta, kaikki, ainaki miltein kaikki aina ottaa siitä kuvan kon tulee ulkomailta Helsinkiin. Joten nyt on miullaki siitä kuva!

Today I spent my day with my mom in Helsinki. Shopping a bit and dinner at Italian restaurant. How good food can be at restaurants! 

For the antipasto we took focaccia with garlic and pesto.... hopefully the garlich wont stink tomorrow too much, but it was worth of it. And for the main dish I took gnocchi! This will be one of the foods I'm going to miss the most of Italian food and then of course tiramisu and panna cotta. I wish I could go back to Italy already! 

The restaurant located in Aleksanterinkatu,it wasn't so far away from cathedral and I decided to be a tourist. I wanted to take a photo of that cathedral. I never took a photo of it before and always all the foreign people who comes to Helsinki wants to see and take a photo of this. So now I have a photo of it too! 

Girls' night out!

Today, about in an hour I'm going to Helsinki with my friend (so this is really fast tiny post ;)

We're going for a dinner at first and maybe little shopping! And later tonight we're going to cinema to see
"devil inside". I said that I'm gonna take a pillow with me, if there will be some scary scenes, what I think there will be, cause it's a horror movie, but my friend told me to not do that : D

Few past night and day has been really weird. I have started to sleep walk and previous night I was sent an sms to my friend! It did make sense at all and I don't remember at all that I was sent them. Let's see what this will be, I hope to get rid of the stress, so all these kind of things will end.

Un cornetto e caffé latte

Käytiin kaverin kanssa aamupalalla pari päivää si, ko molemmat sattu oleen keskustas samaa aikaa. Mentii City käytävän Robert's Coffeeseen, otettiin  latte ja croissantti.

Edellisenä iltana tuli ihan kauhia ikävä Folignoa ja niitä päivittäisiä aamukahveja kahvilassa ja Muzzin ihan parhaimmat täytetyt croissantit! Ei Robert's coffeen tavallinen croissantti ollu mitää verrattuna mitä italiassa sai, ja kolmin kertaset hinnatki viel! Mut yritettiin ajatella, että ollaan Italiassa : D Ja parasta kuiteski oli koko hommassa se et sain ihan mahtavaa aamupalaseuraa ja juteltiin ja naurettiin vaiks kui paljo. Aikaki lensi siinä, istutii siel kahvilas 1,5 tuntii. Oli ihan mahtava aamu ♥

I went for a breakfast with my friend couple days ago, cause we both were in a downtown. We went to a Robert's coffee, we took cafe latte and croissant.


On the previous evening we started to miss Foligno and those everyday morning coffees in a café and Croissants with marmalade fillings from Muzzi, they're the best! Normal croissant from Robert's coffee is nothing to compared for the ones you get in Italy, and the price is triple! But we tried to imagine we were in Italy : D And the best of all was the company and we talked and laughed so much. The time passed so fast, we were in the cafe 1,5 hours. The morning was great ♥

12 Giorni e arrivo in Italia!

Okei, now there won't be so much time for the departure! Just 12 days, and before that is happening so much everything, so time will fly! Tomorrow I'm going on one info event to Opteam. It's for new workers and I need to bring some papers there, so I can start working, but I'll start working on January when I have come back to Finland.

So for tomorrow my shopping list would look something like this;

- Brush for dishes
- glögi (traditional finnish Christmas drink)
- Christmas pie dough and plum marmalade
- Baking sheet
- porridge rice

We're trying to have all the possible stuffs to Italy from here and take from home, so we'd save a bit more money. But I wanna have a Christmas tree there, but I think I have to get it from Foligno. My mom told me to take one from here. Small one of course and plastic, but let's see what I'm gonna do. But I do want the tree!

Oh, and today I found out that we have an exam tomorrow. I didn't know anything about it, but maybe it doesn't matter so much, cause I wouldn't bother to study anyway. I'm lazy student, just sleeping at school and won't do anything at home (:

Bowling and Clubbing

Ny tulee postaus pikkuse aikasemmin, ennenko on ehtiny ees mitää tapahtuun, mutta anyway huomen ois tarkotus pitää hauskaa koulun jälkee ;)
Illalla mennää eka kavereitten ja Italialaisten kaa keilaamaa pariks tuntii ja siitä si jatketaa Stadii. Varmaa käyää jotai pient haukkaamassa siin josaki vaihees kuha vaa ollaa päästy keilaamasta poijes :) Ja si kierrellää pikkuse siel ympyrää. Ja joskus 10p.m- 11p.m ois tarkotus menn Onnelaa vähä tanssimaa! Mut en ny si tiiä muuttuuks suunitelmat joteki, ko juttelin tänää yhen Italialaisen kaa ja se sano et ne haluis käydä Baarikärpäses. No mut huomen si näkee mitä aijotaa tehä :)

Tiistain on itsenäisyyspäivä, eli melkei kaik paikat on kii, jote ollaa päätetty et mennää Karoliinan luokse viettään darrapäivää ja iltaa. Syyää tortilloja ja juuan limua ;D ja kai myö lämmitetää saunaki siin jossain vaihees :) Eikä saa myös unhohtaa linnan juhlia! (en koskaa ees kato niit, mut ny o pakko. Näytetää Italialaisille, et arvostellaa muitten asuja töllön toisen puolen =D )
Ny tul tähä samaa itsenäisyyspäivänki postaus, ko en varmaanka pääse/tuu kotia ennen keskiviikkoo, jote päätin ny rustata täs samal jotai. Pitäis olla nukkumas, mut nukkumatti ei oo viel tullu käymää tääl, jote tää istuu viel hereil :)

Chillin' at home

Siitä Helsinki tourista Italialaisille eilen.... ei menny iha niinko oltii ajateltu : D Ratikkaa hypättii ja si vietii niitä vähä etiäpäi sillä, näytettii Tuomikirkko ja si satama, siihe se jäiki... annettii niillee pari tuntii aikaa kierrellä Kampissa ja shoppailla.
Ja ne kutsu meijä syömää lounast niiden kämpille. Menin sinne ja sain kunnon Italialaisen lounaan. Primo piatto ja secondo tuli syötyy ja si jälkkäriks mie sain jotain romanialaisia karkkeja. Nam ;)

Ja nyt illalla vietetää löhöiltaa kotona. Ostettii maman kaa juustoja ja suolakeksejä. Niitä napostelemaa ja kahtelemaa leffoja!
Ja kerranki tuli vähä lyhyenpuoleinen postaus :P

Days with Italians

Few past day has been spent with Italian students from Foligno. We have been doing little bit stuffs with them and ´without them (:

1° Giorno
The fist day went well, we played with some games where we got to know each other little bit. With us was those Italians, Estonian students and also some Finnish students who are going to a exchange to Estonia.
We had a dinner where the students are living and in the evening we went to home. We didn't get much time to spend with them, cause first of all, Italians were 1,5 hours late. Well, that's normal for Italians, we were totally forgot that, but now we know to prepare for that ;)

2° Giorni

Wednesday morning we wen't to bakery class with Italians. We baked karelian pasties and korvapuusties : D And then we introduced them to our school's bar class. We did margarita and some other cocktails and let them drink/taste them, that's our school ! I think making drinks is the best part of our school ;D
On the evening we tried to get contact to Italians, but they wanted to go to home and sleep. So we made a little group of our friends and we went to drink and eat something and of course talking & having fun! (:

3° Giorni, 1st of December...

Yeah... today was really  unusual day. We went to beach with Italianos. The principle of the Italian school likes sauna and swimming so much, so he wanted to go to beach ON DECEMBER O.O well anyway, our international coordinator was made a reservation for us to sauna, we went there and almost all the Italians went to swim. The water was freezing! I stayed on ground and I was just taking photos of them ;) But in the end we got coffee/tea/hot chocolate or soda and one korvapuusti (:
 Tomorrow there should be a Helsinki tour, Awesome! I don't know anything about any sightseeing in Helsinki, well few places... but I'm gonna tell later, on weekend how it passed by : D And maybe some pics from there :)

A job interview

In the morning I went to school and stayed there couple of hours and then I had to go to Helsinki.
It was pretty important day for me, I had a job interview. It was at 1 p.m. I left little early from school, I could have stayed a little longer there, but this was really good reason to get out of there early ;)

So in Helsinki, I was looking for the place where the interview was. I never been there or never seen the building. I just got the address... last night, mom told me to look up to a map so I would know a bit where to go, but I was so sure I would know where it is, so I didn't bother to do that. Of course when I went there, I couldn't find it :P It wasn't the street what I thought, so it took a little longer to find the right place, but I'm so happy I left little too early (: But I was on time there.

After an interview I met my friend who I wasn't seen for long time. We had really nice time and we went for a coffee twice. On the second time we were smart and went to one restaurant where our common friend is working and she was on shift so we got free coffee (:

... And about the interview, now I'm waiting a call from there and see will I have a job or not (:

Paranormal friday

Tänää meil ei ollu kovin pitkä koulupäivä, päästiin kotia jo 10am. Mietittii siin si kaverin kaa mitä tehtäs loppupäivän, ko aikaa oli koko päivä. Myö päädyttiin meille, ja syötiin suklaapastaa, joka ei sit loppujen lopuks ollu nii hyvää mitä ois voinu olla, mut tulipaha kokeiltuu ja ei tarvii enää ostaa lisää : D 

 Ja josaki vaiheessa myö mentiin nukkumaa muutamaks tunniks, ko oltii nukuttu miltei kaik tunnit koulussa, tai no ne muutamat mitkä myö siel oltii. Nukuttii siinä si pari tuntii ja sen jälkee päätettii kahtoo mitä leffoi pyörii täl hetkel leffoissa. Päädyttiin Paranormal activity 3'n. 

Ja ostin muutes leffaliput ensimmäist kertaa netist : D oon ain vaa varannu niit ja huomattii et tää oli nii paljo kätevämpi tapa, ei tarvii  menn jonottelee sinne tuntii aikasemmi hakemaa niit lippui (: 

Ja siit leffast viel, se oli aika pelottava ain välil, tai tuli säikähettyy aika mont kertaa, ko ne kohtaukset tuli nii yhtäkiä! Mut se oli iha ok, ei ny nii hyvä mitä mie olin kuvitellu, mut iha katottava. 

Ja huomen ois tiedossa työkeikka koulun ravintolas, ei kiinnostais yhtää mennä sinne, mut pakko ja sit saan hoijettuu sil miun työssäoppimisen. Tai ne puuttuvat tunnit mitkä on pakko tehä, muuten ei tuu valmistumis paperei keväällä. 

Nyt kohta viel sauna päälle ja sinne rentoutumaa, vaikken ees tykkää saunasta, mut kyl sinne ain välil jaksaa raahautuu (: 

 

Happy Feet

Today has been pretty awesome day :) Everything went well, even I was so tired and was hard to stay awake.
 At school we did a small wine tasting. We tried out 3 different white wine, but I didn't like any of them. I don't drink wine, but my friend was really happy to have my wine too ;)

After school my friend came at my place and we ate a bit, and then we had to leave to one shopping mall, cause she's working there, and her shift was starting soon. We had little time to go around the mall and after a while she left and I left to Helsinki.

There, in Helsinki, I went to my previous job to see some people, and I was lucky, they all were in same shift. Usually, if I go there, no one who I want to be there, won't be. But anyway, she was just quitting and then we went to a 'Mbar' for one drink and we were talking about everything cause we wasn't seen each other since I quit my job. Also I told about the wedding I have to plan with my friend as a school project and she offered her help little bit. She told some stuff what would be useful to know, and what I might not realize to ask. And at that moment all the stress I had because of this eased away (:

Also one other awesome thing we got to know!
We're having people here from Foligno on 28 of November! I really can't wait that, we're gonna have 6 weeks together, cause they're going back to Foligno on the same day than we do and we have to host them while they're in Finland. It's gonna be awesome, I'm so anxious about this (:

No more shopping!

Today at school day went pretty fast, I had to be there just 4 hours and I really didn't do much. But after school I went to Helsinki. In same train was two of my friends, so I got little company for the way there :)
 In Helsinki I had to wait my mom to come there little bit over an hour, so I went to café to wait. When my mom arrived we went to Sokos and Stockmann. We spent way too much money, even we didn't buy much.

From Stockmann, we bought couple pieces for NominatioN bracelet. I got my chinese zodiac sign, Scimmia, monkey :)

Also my friend told me where I can buy these NominatioN pieces from Rome when I go there. Last time when I was there and tried to look for these, I didn't find them anywhere, everyone said they don't sell them. Same was in Florence. Well I was lucky there, I found one place where I was able to buy them, but the selection wasn't large. There was just few different.

Neobio's organic lip balm. I really love the smell and the feeling what it gives your lips. It makes your lips so soft & kissable ;) 

Rimmel Match perfection face powder. It seems pretty good, at least if I compare it for the price. It was just little bit over 7€.

And now I'm gonna be on shopping strike! I've spent way too much money lately. I gotta save money a bit, well try to survive with no money these last days of October and entire november! o.o

Sleepless night

Last night I couldn't get a sleep until morning and I was a bit bored. Earlier yesterday I was shopping with my friend in Helsinki, and I bought all the baking stuffs. So I decided to try out something what I haven't tried since ever. I did royal icing and tried to do a tiara with it. But it was just a trial (:

First I drew the tiara on the paper and then I drew it on a greaseproof paper too. That picture I taped around a bottle. ( I think I made one mistake with this one, it would been better to tape on a semicircle or something like that, but not to a bottle. )
 Now was turn of the royal icing mixture. I mixed one egg white and about 4dl powdered sugar, it little depends what's you're gonna do with the icing and sometimes it just needs little bit more powdered sugar. Also I added few drops of lemon juice. It helps the mixture solidify.

This recipe of royal icing is meant of making outlines for cookies and decorating.

Here's the Tiara around a bottle . Also one mistake which I made was that I used way too big piping tube.

Final score! It broke down when I tried to take it off the bottle and paper :/ Not so successful , but maybe next time I can do it better :) 

Autumn

Now the Autumn has really reached over Finland. Everything here has turned to yellow, red and brown.

About a week ago I went to Helsinki for shopping, and i actually found some clothes for Autumn (:
I bought a vest, scarf and also I got selfmade mittens!

 I also was looking for a new lip blam, and i found one from Dove. It's really nice, it makes your lips soft and it gives a nice color for your lips :)

Because of the Autumn, my Italian lessons has started, and today I have my third lesson, and i should go there. I could not wait to get there :) Even everything what we do there is way too easy, but I'm studying the book myself at home, and I'm just asking a bit help from the teacher, if I get some problems.

I went outside today, cause it was nearly first day without rain for a week. And I was in our garden, and i found some last flowers, nearly every other flowers has died already. I really wish next summer will come fast :) I miss sun and heat!

Friday Night!

Today i woke up early, well at least i really tried. I had an alarm set at 9am but I got up at 11am. After a morning coffee i left to Helsinki, to do some stuff i needed to take care.
  The nomination piece left to Italy, bought some beauty stuff and i have tried to look for a part time job. But at least yet i haven't found anything what i really would want to do. Also i should get  my CV done, somehow it feels impossible to do it. I just can't find any good sentences to write down :/

While i was preparing my dinner little while ago, i did my nails with nice pink nail polish :) The color is one of my favorite of all my nail polishes. I bought it just 3 months ago from Italy, quality compare to price is really good. One bottle cost just 2,50€ (and i bought 19 different colors ) The bottle is nearly empty! It's unbelievable for a nail polish addict. I nearly never used one bottle of nail polish to the end : D

And later today I'm gonna spend a movie night with my friend :) We're gonna watch some movies and eat everything delicious what we just find from the fridge... Cupcakes, candy, dip and cucumber.
Choices for the movies which we might watch are
