Vegan Weekend with my Swiss

The weekend is over and my friend she had to fly back to Switzerland. We had an amazing weekend mainly consisting of eating and drinking but we enjoyed a lot.

Our mornings started from Elephant and Castle, we had breakfast at Cupcakes and Shhht, small independent vegan coffee shop and bakery. There you can have the best freakshakes ever, well it was the very first time when I tried one, but it looked amazing and also tastes great.
Definitely it won't be the last time when I will go there for breakfast.

That afternoon we spend doing our normal hobby together, spending money and buying new makeup. And we both always complain that we have too much make up... well it can be forgotten sometimes. And since we planned the weekend before, mainly where we are going to eat, we also wanted to visit at Deliciously Ella deli, I can say that there you can always find something delicious to eat. I love that place it is such a nice place to have a lunch or supper and what I love about it the most is that almost everything is gluten free, the rare times when I get to eat every single crumble from my plate, that is real happiness!

On Saturday night we also had a booking to Sky Garden, it was really nice to see the city after sunset. I have been visiting there only in the afternoon once before. The view was lovely up there only one thing I can say that I didn't like too much, that it was really cold up in there, I wish there would been at least a bit of heating but in the end we came there to see the view and we did, we didn't have anything to drink there, because after that we headed for dinner.


Sunday was our proper all you can eat day. I had a feeling that we were moving from the Cupcakes and shhht to Hackney where we went to Palm Vault, now we were after a sparking lattes. Unfortunately they told us to go to their Soho shop, they didn't do them in this coffee shop. We still decided to sit down and try something I haven't tried or seen before, Rose latte and my friend took Bluemoon latte
And when we were done in there we headed to this little vegan grill. They made there vegan chicken and vegan mac and cheese. I was able to eat french fries with vegan mayo plus I did take two forks of the mac and cheese, I had to try it!
After all of this we were so stuffed and we felt like rolling back to central London. We did our last stop at Planet Organic and Whole foods Market, something that we just cannot skip when we are together.

On Monday we didn't have much time, we only went to have a coffee in a coffee shop in Covent Garden and little bit later, just before she left we had a lunch at Whole foods Market.

The weekend was great and cannot wait to see you soon here or either in Switzerland !

Happiness is...

To find a new delicious, but still healthy breakfast. Recently Instagram has been full of this delicious super food breakfast bowls, Açai bowl. Since everyone has been posting pictures of it I decided to try it out and I agree that it is an awesome breakfast or even a snack in the afternoon.
I made it really simple just blended together a frozen banana, açai powder and water. There are thousands of possibilities to do it, and the best thing is that you can top it with your favourite toppings. This morning I went to the market near my home and bought some fresh raspberries so I used them, chia seeds and raw cacao nibs. When I finished my bowl I was just craving more and for my happiness I found two more spoon fulls in the dish where I blended my açai bowl.
Past few days I've been craving so much junk food and I've been slipping a bit with my diet, but I hope I can get back to eating healthy again with this breakfast.

Sunday

Sunday, day off and nothing to do is a very bad combination, it leads to a shopping spree. That's how was my Sunday and I had lovely lunch by myself at the Whole foods market in Piccadilly and from there I moved to Oxford street going through all the possible clothing and health stores.
Let's not put everything to a bad shade, I did wake up quite early this morning around 7.30 AM and I did something I havent done yet, but I've said so many times I'd like to do that, I went to a park and did my morning workout there and between the sets of the workout I even managed to find a four-leaf clover!
So what did I manage to find in shops today?
Number one thing is food and food suppliments. I chose to take a box of the salad bar and with that I really needed a cup of coffee, so that means almond milk latte. At first I didn't like the taste of hot almond milk at all, but I guess I've just got used to it since now I love it
Something that I see in quite many places, on youtube and here in UK, acai bowl, in order to make it at home I purchased acai powder, so tomorrow I'm going to have exiting new breakfast! I don't wanna get bored with my oatmeal so better to change sometimes.

And also I decided to try out something I've been craving for months, but it is quite expensive so I didnt't want to buy it before, but since today was kind of my pampering day I decided to give a try, raw coconut cookies. There are no words how amazing they are, I nearly finished one entire bag of them... Oops!
And my very last purchase was a crop top. I think I can call this as one of my achievments, it is my first crop top ever, since I never really felt comfortable to go out belly out. Not that I would like to do it now either, but the top is covering quite well, only in case I need to raise my arms my belly will be all visible, but I still feel much better now that ever before with this kind of top and I am in love with the top, It is a perfect top for the summer.

Summer, in Uk!

Recently it's been all about food and it kind of keep going with the same subject, because I actually had a picknick in a park. This means that summer arrived even here in London. Out of a sudden the winter weather turned out to be 27 degrees and hot burning sun, I even managed to burn my back while I was studying in the park.

I am hungry all the time, my stomach is bottomless. Even if I have increased my portion sizes since we started our "diet" since I am eating a whole lot more vegetables. Which is actually amazing, I am able to stuck myself full of food so often, I don't need to feel guilty of eating enourmous plates of food.

This afternoon we're heading to check out Planet Organic, in Tottenham court road. I have been there only once before when I discovered the shop and bought just aloe vera geL, but now I am going there to try out Loving earth raw chocolate bars! I am so exited, recently I've been eating only raw chocolate and it taste great and the best part is that I am not getting any allergic reaction of it!But back for yesterday's food, so I had banana, vanilla and strawberry protein smoothie. I cannot say how much I love this smoothie and it keeps me full such a long time. Usually I have this or banana, spinach and almond butter protein smoothie for my lunch and then for the dinner I prepare proper hot meal.

And not to forget my snack brake while studying, this is something I need a lot. Snacking while studying, without a snack I just can't do it. I had Emily fruit crisps, apple slices. Unfortunately if I open the package I don't have any control for muself, definitely I will finish the entire package. Well at least it is filled up with natural sugars and not refined sugars.

My New Favourite Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal in a day, that's what they say and I do eat it most of the days, since I love eating.

 And recently I went through on Pinterest to see some breakfast recipes and I am so happy I tried this one! I'm in love with it and I'm not skipping a breakfast any day since it is so delicious!

 So what did I find? The amswer is, over night oats! You can modify it so easily regarding what you like and what you want to leave outside of your breakfast. First time I tried it, I made it with Banana and Chia seeds mixed with Almond milk.
It was just perfect and I got a huge sweet tooth so it had a great little sweetness and also it is good to have your fruits in a morning time so all the sugar has time to burn during the day.

But in case you are not friend with sweetness, especially in a morning time you can try over night oats with rasperries or any other fruits or berries. And for the milk you can choose your prefferred milk.
 It is so easy to do this,  what you need is
 - Handful berries or fruits of your choice
 - 85ml oats
 - 120ml of milk of your choice
 - chia seeds (if you like)
 - hint of vanilla

 Mix all the ingredients together, I like to crush berries and fruits and mix with the oats and after that add milk, chia seeds and vanilla for flavour. Cover the comtainer or bowl and let it sit in the fridge over the night or about 8 hours

Spicy Hot Apple Drink

On a cold windy Autumn day it is lovely to have something to sip which warms you up. After the work today I came home and I prepared a lovely cup (my new Moomin cup!) of home made spicy Apple drink.
It is so easy to do and won't waste too much of your time and everything you need is;

3 Apples
Hot water
Grounded cinnamon
and a juicer

You just need to juice three apples and pour the juice into a mug, half cup and add some hot water. This is my lazy way, you can also heat up the apple juice and water on stove. This method is better if you want the drink to be little bit more hot than what you can achieve with boiling the water in kettle, since the juice is cold it's going to cool down also the drink. At last add one tea spoon of cinnamon, mix and drink it!

Panna Cotta resepti

Pari päivää sitten sain 2 litraa kermaa, piti alkaa miettimää mitä kaikkee siitä voiskaan tehä jälkiruoaks. Päädyin lopulta tekemään Panna cottaa (ja resepti tähän tulee löytymään postauksen lopusta)
Panna cotta on yksi miun lemppari italialainen jälkiruoka tiramisun jälkeen. Ja enään alle kuukaus kon pääsen takasin sinne syömään vatsan pulleaksi panna cotasta ja tiramisusta!
Panna cotasta tuli tällä kertaa erittäin makea ja varsinkin kon tein kinuski kastikeen siihen päälle, siitä syystä olis varmaankin kannattanu puolittaa tomusokerin määrää, ens kerralla ollaan viisaampia.
Pääruoaks tuli tehtyä ihania uunissa paahdettuja perunoita, kesäkurpitsaa ja porkkanoita







Panna Cotta

6 portion

3 Gelatin sheets
5dl Double or single cream
1 Vanilla bean
50g icing sugar 


Place the gelatin sheets in a bowl with cold water for 10 minutes. Pour the cream into pot and mix with the icing sugar. Make a cut for the vanilla bean and put it into the cream, bring it to the boil. Squeeze the gelatin sheets from spare water and mix quickly with the hot liquid.

Take the serving dishes and pour. Let it cool down for 2-3 hours. Choose a topping of your choice

Opiskelija Budjetilla mennään

Tänään tein jotain sellasta ruokaa mitä en oo ikinä syöny vielä missään muualla kuin Suomessa, makkarakeittoa. Tää kuukausi mennään minimibudjetilla ja siltikin pitää syödä joten piti alkaa miettimään jotain suht halpaa ruokaa.

Tähän päivään asti en oo koskaan ennen tehnyt makkarakeittoa, tuli huomattua, että se oli erittäin helppo tehdä, vaikka muutama mauste unohtukin kaupan hyllylle niin silti tuli oikeen hyvää. Ens viikolla ehkä sit kokeillaan makaroonilaatikkoa tai jotain saman tyylistä

Tällä viikolla kävin Lontoon suomen suurlähetystössä,  joka otti yli puolet tän kuukauden pudjetista, kun piti uusia passi. Mut sentään sain aikaseks tehtyä sen passihakemuksen ja nyt vaan odottamaan tulevia lomia.

Uudet Tuulet Puhaltamassa





Nyt meni ruokatottumukset uuteen uskoon muutama päivä sitte. Kahvila vastaava on siitä lähtien ko sai tietää et miul o diabetes valittanu kuinka paljon mie käytän sokeria.. tietäispä vaa ihan koko totuuden!
Noh nyt alotin kuiteski viime viikolla Paleo ruokavalion elikkäs nyt en syökkää enää mitään sokeria, jauhoja / viljatuotteita ja mitä kaikkia muita rajotuksia siinä olikaan, opettelemista on paljon mitä oikeesti voi syyä ja mitä ei, mut kyllä varmaan se josaki vaiheessa alkaa tulemaa rutiiniks

Mut aika hyvin on menny, kertaakaan en oo sortunu, mikä on ihme. Kon siis viime keväänä lääkäri määräs olla syömäti sokeria, feilasin sen about tunnin päästä siitä lääkärikäynnistä. Noh nyt on kuiteski onnistunu vaikka välillä ihan kamalaa kahtoo kuinka muut mussuttaa kaikkia ihania muffinsseja sun muita!

Tosin nyt oon löytäny vaikka mitä kaikkia ihania ohjeita mitä voi kokeilla! Esim tänää illalla tein pinaattilettuja, oli niin namia :3

Kaiken Maailman Herkkuja





Tänää on tullu syötyä vaikka mitä! Sain jääkaapin täytee ruokaa, ihanan ruoan työpaikalla kaikkine herkkuinee, macaronseja, ja cappuccinon jälkkäriks, tai pitäiskö sanoo et jälkkärin jälkkäriks eikä myöskään saa unohtaa aamupalaks tehtyjä amerikkalaisia pannukakkuja ja vielä nyt illalla vesimeloonia, joka ostettii tänää torilta.

Ja huomenna ois vielä tiedossa lisää syömistä. Iskä, äitipuoli ja mummo tulee aamulla tänne (toivottavasti oon ehtiny heräämään ennen sitä!) ja sitte suunnataa kohti Naantalia.

I'm so stuffed, I've been eating all the possible things today! I got my fridge full of food, delicious dinner at work with all the goodies and desserts, macarons and cappuccino for second dessert. And I wont forget those american pancakes which we had for breakfast and then there was the watermelon we bought from market place today. As you can see, lot to eat for one day! 

And it will continue tomorrow. Dad, stepmom and my grandma will come to pick me up in a morning (I hope I'm gonna be awake by then) and then we're heading to Naantali


American Pancakes

1,3 dl    Milk
1,3 dl    Flour
1 tsp     Baking Powder
1/2 tsp  Salt 
2 tbsp   Sugar
1           Egg
2tbsp   Oil

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Take another bowl and beat the egg with fork, mix the oil into a bowl and in the end add to bowl where's flour mixture. Beat until it's smooth and let it stand for little while, fry the pancakes and get ready to eat!

Kävin tänää pitkästä aikaa kunnolla kaupassa, nyt on kaapit täynnä ruokaa, ainaki miltein. Kaupasta tarttu mukaan sydänpastaa. Nyt saan syyä rakkauden täyteistä ruokaa!

I did grocery shopping today, now I got a lot of food, at least almost. Also I bought heart shaped pasta. Now I can have food which is full of love!

Palaveri, kahvia, hedelmiä & karkkia. Noista asioista koostu miun tän päivän iltapäivä. Työpaikalla oli kuukausittainen palaveri ja sinne toivottiin että osallistutaa, vaikkei siitä palkkaa saanukka.

Oli muuten ihan kivaa, vaikken normaalisti tykkääkkään mistään palavereista. Oon aina ennen onnistunu luistamaan niistä, ollu kouluu ja sitte kesäsin ei oo pidetty ja sitte viime työpaikalla oli sillain että extrojen ei tarvinnu osallistuu niihin.
Kamalinta noissa taitaa olla se jos joutuu esiintymään kaikkien eessä, en tykkää siitä olleskaan. Mut nyt kyl ootan 26.5 pidettävää perehdytyspäivää!

Samalla matkalla kävin torilla ostamassa muutaman paprikan, tein niistä sitte kotia päästyäni jotain riisi-paprika pöperöö. Nyt löllyn vähän aikaa kotona ja kahton telkkaa ja sitte suuntaan ensimmäiseen ihan täysin yö vuoroon! 23.30 - 4.30

Meeting, coffee, fruits & candy. My afternoon was made of these things. At my work there's a meeting every month and they wish me to come there, even they didn't pay of that. 

It actually was pretty cool,  usually I don't like anything like that and especially if I need to perform in front of everyone, Im horrified of that. But now Im waiting the introduction day which is on 26th of May!

Also I visited in a market place, I bought some bell peppers and when I came home I made something rice- bell pepper thing. Now Im chilling at home and watching tv. After that I'm heading to work, my first night shift ever. 23.30 - 4.30

I love Food




Tänään kerranki tein ihan kunnon ruokaa, tai siis yleensä oon nii laiska tekemää mitää kunnollsta, saatan keittää pastaa, mut en jaksa millää enää tehä mitää kastiketta siihen, joten syön sen yleensä sokerin kanssa. Ja tääl Italias oon oppinu syömää tomaattia, tai kon en vaa voi olla niin nirso mitä Suomessa oon. Oon iha varma et muutun takasi samallaiseks, jos joskus meen viel takasin sinne : D Mut oon oikeesti löytäny tääl aika paljon sellassei ruokei mistä oikeesti tykkään ja oon vaa kuvitellu, etten tykkää tosta. 



Toinen asia mitä oon oppinu juomaan täällä on olut! En tykkää siit hirveesti, mut jos ei oo mitää muuta mitä juoda ni kyl yks ainaki puolikas pikkupullo menee ales :) Mut mieluummin kyl juon jotai makiaa... kuten Bacardin Breezerit ;)

 Yks päivä kaupasta bongasin nuita söpöyksiä! Kokista 1,5dl tölkeissä, niitä mitä saa lentokoneista, ne tönöt on vaa jotai nii söpön kokosta ja kans noi pikkulasipullot! :3 Täält löytyy kaikkee kivaa kaupoista, tosin Italialaisille ne o iha normaaleja juttuja, mut ei tollassei Suomesta saanu ni pakko ottaa joka ikisestä mahollisesta jutsta kuva ;P 


Kaiken huippu on kaikki kinder- tuotteet ja NUTELLA! siitä ei oo ny kuvaa, mut sitä löytyy tuolt alakerrasta vielä vähän ko joku on mussuttanu sitä aika kovaa tahtii, ehkä kannattaa ny vähä rajottaa : D ettei koht tarvi iha hullun lailla raataa lenkillä ja uimassa ja kaikkee muuta urheilua, mistä en tykkää sitte yhtää (:
