Good News

I've finally decided what I'm gonna do and actually I've already got it started! I decided to move in with my friend. So this means I'm staying a while more in Foligno, I feel like I'm a little stuck there, but atm this situation is good. I save money a bit, cause the rent isn't so much. Only one thing isn't so good is that the apartment is quite small. We try this first, if we feel like things are not going well, it's time to find something else.

The apartment consists of one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom (And I actually have to say that there's the most weirdest shower I've ever seen. well It's in really wear place, you'll see later)
I will do a post of pictures of apartment after I have come back home from Morocco. There I'm leaving on Monday probably and I will be back on Thursday 27th of September, so after that you'll get a post of the apartment and Morocco. 

3 Months of Italy

It's been almost 3 months already when I arrived here! So much has happened during those months and there's coming more an more happening, everything is not so good but I'm gonna survive of everything ;)

And the weather is actually getting colder! During the days it's warm and sunny, sometimes there's rain and I think there will be soon too! But the evenings are cold! Well at least for me... I'm from Finland, this should feel warm for me, but I'm wrapped hoodies and lot of clothes when the Italian people are with t-shirts and shorts : D I guess there's something wrong in me!

I just arrived back to Foligno still for one more week and then I'm off from here for long time, I guess. I have to find something new... or something old, if I go back to Rome, but I have to little think what I'm gonna do! Maybe I'll stay somewhere in a smaller city and hopefully it's a little cheaper, but still easy to go to Rome.

Bed & Breakfast

Allora, now I've arrived back to rainy Rome for 2 days and then I'm off to Foligno again for a week. I was looking for several hostels in a rain (actually it was really nice to feel a rain again!) and finally I found one place where was free room!

Bed & Breakfast place, little more expensive than hostels, but mom promised to pay it ;) And I really like the room, everything is all fine here! I could stay here way longer, but it would cost way too much, unfortunately. In Foligno I'll stay one week and here just 2 days and the same price.

 

Things Will Be Fine

So tomorrow morning I'm leaving to Rome for a week and then I go back to Finland for a week and after that, I really don't know. But I don't think there will be much problems. I've updated my profile to Au pair World and hoping to find a new host family at some point.

Just my dad was worried how I'm gonna survive, but all the others are positive and think things will be fine, like I do (:

There's just some things I need to go to change and then starts life with no money! Next couple weeks I'm gonna live with corn, hopefully I'm gonna have some free meals from the kitchen when I go to Foligno, well if I go there. Waiting an e-mail from there!

Nyt kävi näin...

Elikkäs tänää aamulla host-mama pisti sähköpostia ja sanos että meijän työsuhde päättyy tähän näin. Alkuun se oli pieni järkytys, ensimmäisenä tuli mieleen että mitä ihmettä mie ny teen, Suomeen pitäis mennä lomalle ja tulla takasin. Mihi pistän tavarat siks aikaa kun oon suomessa?? ja mitä teen sen jälkee... Nyt ajatukset on selkeemmät ja oikeestaan on hyvä olo.

Oon ollu yhteyksissä uusiin perheisiin ja kahtoo nyt mitä tulevaisuus tuo tullessaa. Tällä hetkellä ei pelota mikää asia, on sellain olo et kyl kaikki asiat kääntyy viel parempaa päi, edessä päi on jotai uutta ja parempaa!

Varmaankin meen viikoks takasin Folignoon kun kotiudun Suomen lomalta. Mauriziolle pittää pistää mailia, että minkä hintasta ois majailla viikko tai puoltoista siellä. Jospa asioita sais hoijettuu etiäpäi.

Jäätelö piristi kummasti tänää! Kävin viimetteen kerran lemppari gelateriassa ja sen jälkee oli hymy naamassa koko loppu illan, ei pidä murehtia, vasta sitte ko on oikeesti aika murehtia asioita.
Huomenna tai ylihuomenna, ei oo varmaa vielä tän tytön kohteena on ROOMA!

Il San Antonio

Tänään ainaki tääl Rietissä juhlittiin San Antonion päivää. Koko kaupunki oli koristeltu valoilla (joista tuli vähä mielee jouluvalot, sellassei värillisei valoja ympäri ämpäri) Pääkatu ja muutamat aukiot oli täynnä kojuja mitkö möi erillaisia ruokia, ilmapalloja, hattaraa sun muuta kaikkee mahollista krääsää.

Vaikken ookka yhtään uskonnollinen, oli ihan kiva nähä toi juhla. Kaupunki oli täynnä ihmisiä, en varmaa viel oo nähny nii paljon ihmisei yhtäaikaa tääl : D
Mut tosi outoo oli se, et siel oli joskus 7pm paikkeilla ilotulitus, kirkkaalla taivaalla, ei siitä oikeen mitää muuta nähny ko kauhiat savupilvet ja se meteli mikä niistä lähti!

Kuljin siis koko aika kamera kädessä, mut eniten kuitenki otin kuvia noista koristuksista kaduilla, kuvia jotka oli tehty värillisistä kiveistä, kukanlehdistä sun muista tollassiista asioita (samoja mitä sillon yks sunnuntai löysin, mut kuva oli vaa kärsiny ko en saanu otettua sillon aamulla kuvaa)

Foligno, Home sweet home

Nyt o synttärit juhlittu ja muutenki pietty hauskaa Quintanassa. Join puolikkaan coronan ja lasin valkkaria, huikee saavutus miulle ko en tykkää kummastaka ja tänää pitäis kitata viel lisää viiniä naamaa.. saas nähä kui mont lasia/huikkaa saan tänää ales : D

Ja miltei kaikki kaveritki o käyty läpi moikkaamassa, ainaki ne läheisimmät :) Muutama päivä o viel aikaa olla tääl, mut si pitää taas jättää tälle paikalle hyvästit :( Folignosta lähteminen on aina ollu iha kamalaa, saa nähä miten ny käy. Mut toisaalta nyt se o iha erillaista ko muilla kerroilla, koska en kuiteska oo menossa nii kauas täst paikast, voin tulla aina takasin ko haluun!

Koht käyn napaamassa pari kuvaa noist quintanan lipuista. En oo itekkää täysin iha ymmärtäny mikä juttu tää on, muutako et pitää juua paljon viiniä ;D Mut tärkeintä on et hauskaa on tullu pidetyyn! (:

P.s Kuvat on ny Iphonessa, mut unhotin kokonaa et se johto minkäläpi saisin ne koneesee on rikki ja miul ei oo ko se yks johto mukan, mut pistän kuvat tulemaa perästä heti maanantaina kon pääsen kotia!

Elikkäs nyt vihdoin sain kuvat muutamien rionien lipuista. Punanen lippu valkosella ristillä oli voittaja nyt kesäkuussa ja quintana on taas si syyskuussa, saa nähä kuka silloin voittaa ;)

La mia casa nuova in Italia!

I've spent few days here now and I'm so happy to be here! Everything has gone well for now on and I'm sure it will continue like this (:

yesterday we went to the downtown with my host mom and tried to do some documents and sim for my phine, bank account and everything like that. But after a while we noticed it's not so simple, cause everyone tells the opposite what to do. So we were running around the city entire morning and didn't get much to do, so we continued in the afternoon.

And I finally got experienced the real Italian breakfast al bar! : D we had a cappuccino and cornetto while standing, fast breakfast, but so delicious ;3

Today when the host mom comes home I'll go around the neighborhood with my camera, Faccio le foto! (:

The empty feeling

Today it hit and it did it in hard way. I'm feeling 'home sick', I need to get back home, to Italy. I still got month and 5 days to wait. Hopefully the time will fly. I still got so much to do before I'm ready to leave, but still the waiting is horrible.
 I talked with one of my Italian friend today, he told that he has been all the places I love in Foligno, I really miss those places and the lifestyle in Italy. People are so friendly and they actually are smiling! Smile and little happiness makes the day better :)

Memories <3

Most of the pictures in collage are from last December which we spent in Foligno. Can't forget that Christmas, the most weirdest and the best I've ever had for now on :) 

Also I did little shopping today. Now I really need to stop shopping! I have to save little money, have to see how's that going. 

Some time with my mini

Gelato Italiano ;)

Allora, I haven't tried this yet, but I will. I was just "reading" my Ice cream book which I bought from Rome last  December. I haven't even opened the book before last night and I started to miss delicious Italian ice cream, so I decided to try out some of the recipes and I end up for pistachio ice cream!
One of my favorite ice cream flavor in Central bar.

Now I just have to go to the market and buy everything needed. I translated the recipe from Italian to Finnish, it was so difficult to find correct Finnish words! I need to take some Finnish lessons! : D

And here's the receipt (I don't guarantee it will be delicious, but I will try ;)

Gelato al pistacchio

600ml of cream
5 egg yolk
115g of sugar
225g  of pistachios with shells
a bit of almond crushed grain
a bit of vanilla

Bring the cream to a boil and let it cool down for little while. Beat the eggs and sugar until smooth foam.
Add the cool down cream carefully to the mixture.

Cook the ice cream liquid in a double boiler until it won't create a skin on the top. Take the liquid off from stove and let it cool down completely.

Boil the pistachios with shells about 5 mins and then peel them. Crush nuts in a blender and mix with almond crumbs and vanilla.
Add the mixture of nuts and vanilla to a ice cream liquid and when it's chilled pour it to a ice cream machine.

Let the liquid work out until it's freezing. Transfer the ice cream to other bowl which stands freezer. Let it be in a freezer at least 15 mins before serving.
(when the ice cream is ready it lasts one month in the freezer)

The Devil inside

Ny o pakko pistää pien postaus tosta eilisestä leffasta. Oli ihan kamala! En oo koskaa ennen ollu nii kiinni kaverissa leffan iha alusta loppuu asti, oli pelottava!

Ja kaiken lisäks, leffan tapahtumat sijottu, Italiaan, Roomaan, minne o lähtä n. 10 viikon päästä. Ehkä pitääki miettiä vielä uudellee, et lähenkö vai en : D

Mut muuten leffa oli joteski tosi kiinostava, vaikka se ny oliki pelottava, eli iha hyvä et päädyttiin kahtomaa toi, ko eka ei meinattu millää löytää mitää kiinnostavaa leffaa (:

P.s. Suosittelen leffaa, mut ottakaa joku kaveri mukaa johka saa tarttuu ain ko tulee joku pelottava kohtaus ;)

Toivottavasti hyviä uutisia!

Puhelin alko soimaa pikkusen yli kaheksan. Ehkä tuleva host mama soitteli. Juteltiin siinä hetken kaikkee ja ei muuten jännittäny enää yhtää. N. tunti ennen puheluu olin iha paniikissa ja olin iha varma etten sais mitää järkevää sanottavaa suusta, mut hyvin meni. Puhelu meni tosi luonnollisesti eikä tullu mitää kiusallista hiljasta hetkee.

 Jatkosta sovittiin sen verran, että skypetellään tiistaina lisää, ko host mama oli (kans) flunssassa, joten ei puhuttu kovin kauaa. Enempi sitte tiistaina koko perheen kanssa! 

Puhelust tuli sellane kuva, et saattaisin olla menossa kyseiseen perheeseen, toivon et tärppää! Tää perhe kuulostaa niin ihanalle ja just sopivalta miulle :) Nyt vaa peukut pystyy et käy hyvin, varmaa täs lähiaikoin alkaa selviimää et mihin sitä päätyy vai päätyykö mihinkä. 

A call from Italy

Yesterday evening I got a mail from my possible host family. And we set up the date when they call me and we get to talk through phone with entire family.

I'm so exiting about this, but also I'm a bit scared, but I hope this call will end up well and they want me to be their au pair!

I'm looking forward the next week!

Florence, Milan, Senigallia?

After my decision to be an au pair and registration to Au pair-World I've got many messages from different families from everywhere from Italy and I've taken contact to families which has got my interest.
Now I'm mailing with the families and trying to find out which could be perfect Italian family for me, or is it any of those? Let's see will I go to Italy in summer or will I stay in Finland...

Of course I hope I'll leave Finland behind, at least for little while and get to see new life in Italy ;) I'm looking forward new and unknown!

Okei, back to reality and old life here in Finland, tomorrow I have to go to school! Wake up is way too early, I even don't wanna look up the time, there's not time enough for sleeping!
So Buonanotte e sogni d'Italia ;)

Plan B

All the ideas are coming on my mind! But I'm still not totally sure what I wanna do. Only thing I know is that I wanna get out of Finland after I've graduated.

Tonight I was thinking the possibilities to get a job from Italy, I know the situation there, and it's not the best.. But you never know, if you don't even try! But then one old dream came up on my mind and there it was, my plan B!

After I have graduated I will be an au pair, if I find a host family. I'm gonna stay there 6-12 months and to see a bit of life in Italy. If the place feels still right after that time, I'll go look for the job and try to survive living in Italy totally on my own, working and paying rent!

For now this idea sounds good, but let's see when I get another awesome idea ;)

Valinnan vaikeuksia, Lontoo - Italia?

Kaiken päättäminen on niin vaikeeta. Miten pystyy valitteen sen yhen asian mitä haluu tehä? Pitää vaa alkaa miettimää tärkeimpiä asioita ittelle ja pistää asiat tärkeysjärjestyksee.

Nyt lähipäivin oon alkan miettimää, haluunks mie oikeesti läksiä Italiaan vai oisko Lontoo sitteski parempi? Rakastan Italiaa yli kaiken, sitä Italialaista elämäntyyliä, ihmisiä ja tieteski aurinkoo! Mitä tääl Suomes ei saa paljoo talven aikana. 

Mut toisaalta ois ihana päästä kokemaa uusia asioita, mut silti siel Italias on joku juttu joka vetää ain sinne takasin, en ees tiiä mikä se o. 

Onneks täs on ny muutama kuukaus miettii mitä oikeesti haluu. Ja onneks nää päätökset ei oo lopullisia! Sitä voi olla Italias jonki aikaa ja vaihtaa sen jälkee maisemaa uutee paikkaa, nii kauan ko sielä josaki (mihi ikinä si joskus päätyykä) ei oo mitää pysyvää ja mikä oikeesti pittää siut siellä. 

First steps to new life

Nyt se alkaa! Kouluu ei oo enää ko muutama kuukaus jälellä ja sen jälkee alkaa uus elämä ulkona Suomesta. Dreams do come true! Elikkäs viikonlopun aikana tuli otettuu ny ensimmäisiä askelia kohti ens kesää. Aloin selvittelee kunnolla asioita, jotka pitäis hoitaa ennen ko päättää lähtiä yhtää minnekkä. Ja tulipa tilattuu samalla kyseisestä aiheesta kirja Suomi seuran sivuilta, nyt vaa pitää ootella et kirja tipahtaa postiluukusta sisää (:

Jotai työpaikkaa saattaa ehkä olla tiedossaki, meinaan kyl yrittää saaha töitä ensi Roomasta tai Rimineiltä, jostai paikasta mis vois ees pikkusen käyttää Englantii, mut jos ei muualta saa ni kylhä Ostelloo voin ain menn töihi, sen verta oon rakastunu siihe paikkaa ja kaupunkii ;) Nyt siis ollaan puhumassa muutosta Italiaan, jota oon odottanu niin paljon, toivottavasti kaikki menee hyvin ja tää unelma tulee täyttymää!

Italialaisuutisia taas kerran, tänne mein luokse saapu eilen uusia Italialaisia vaihto-oppilaita, jote seuraavat kolme viikkoo tulee taas vietettyy Italialaisessa seurassa! käytii moikkaamassa niit tänää ja vähä suunittelemas mitä ne haluis tehä ja huomenna mennää leipomaa pullaa niitten kaa (:
Viimeset kaks kuukautta on ollu aika Italian täyteisiä, mut en valita, kivaa on ollu ja varmasti tulee olemaa (:

Ciao Bella!

First week has gone fast! Much has been done and happened. Also the Christmas passed away already, and we didn’t totally find out Italian people traditional Christmas. We tried to ask that from everyone and we got millions of different answers.

But we got know that Italians celebrate the Christmas on 25^th of December, so we Finns are inpatient and start celebrating a day before than rest of the world (expect the Nordic countries)

on 24^th of December we had a Finnish Christmas dinner, well not so traditional, but at least we had it on the Christmas Eve. We had Christmas porridge at first and then pesto pasta… We didn’t get glögi for this Christmas, cause we had to throw them off at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, we had too much over weight and we didn’t want to pay nearly 70€ of that.  And I got one Christmas present on this year, I didn’t expect it, but it was really nice to have. I got Italiano- Finlandese dictionary! : D And we have got so many laughs with it.. we have some common words, pronounced same way, but the spelling is just different.

            

25^th of December we didn’t do much during the day, just slept and watched sex and the city- series and moomins (: But on the evening we went to a opening of a new club, ‘Serendipity’

Soon I'm going to Rome, so probably I will take some photos and post them here later when I find some time and if we have internet connection!

I'm Coming Home!

Not so long anymore. Finally the day which I have been waiting for 4,5 months is here, 19th of December!
Soon Helsinki- Vantaa is calling, I've manage my luggage weight to 25,4kg. It's the best I can do, let's see if they won't make me to pay extra fees because of that.

Today I have been spending my last day in Finland (for next 3 weeks) watching movies and sleeping. I still need to clean up my room, so it won't look huge mess (: And I have to check I have packed all the things I need in Italy, cause now I there won't be time to send them for me, like last time I did.


Saturday, 17th of December
On this rainy day, our Italian students wanted to go for a visit to Suomenlinna. There was pretty horrible : D Cold and windy. Not the best time of the year go there, but they wanted to see this place, and they got... Also they wanted to get out of there pretty fast : D I have to admit, that I was pretty happy about that short visit. If they ever come back here in Summer, they can go there again (:

And after this 'lovely' trip to Suomenlinna I went back home and my friend came to pick me up to her place. We made cookies... Well I was sleeping on chairs when she was doing them : D I helped her with decorating them and eating them of course! ^^
Rest of the evening we spent laying on the bed and searching funny videos on youtube, watching tv and just talking everything. And after the midnight she brought me back home. I was suppose to stay there over the night, but I didn't wanna wake up early tomorrow, so I decided to come home to sleep on my own bed and no one won't wake me up before I wanna wake up (:

A Start for the next 6 awesome weeks

Allora, now the wedding has passed away, and it was a real disaster! No one didn't know nothing about anything! Not even the groom, so well planned wedding. But anyway we survived well. Now there's missing just the judgement, we couldn't do that cause we didn't have all the papers. But it will be done by this week.
And at the moment the Italians has landed to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. And tomorrow we get to spend time with them and get know each other. It's gonna be hard to wait entire day that : D But maybe we'll manage it somehow ;) From now on we're able to speak Italian for 6 weeks! Nearly that  time which I lived in Italy!
On thursday I have 'wine test'. I have to know everything about wines and grapes... I don't have time to study for that. I wish I have good luck cause I have done that test once already, last year. But our teacher won't believe us (he's not the same teacher than last year) so we have to do that again :/
Now I might not be able to post anything at least before next sunday. Cause my friend broke my laptop and I'm not able to write with it. But probably we're going to buy a new one on sunday, it's not sure, but I try to get new one as soon as possible, there's just little problems with that. Let's see what will happen.. I hope the best!
